Rehabilitation of a DN 1100 service water pipeline in Tyrol completed masterfully

The rehabilitation of a DN 1100 service water pipeline in Tyrol was completed masterfully under difficult conditions.

THE PROJECT

A pressure pipeline with a DN of 1100 mm and a total length of 440 m was rehabilitated by RTi involving four installations in eight days. As this was a service water pipeline that drives a turbine for power generation, the pipeline had to be put back into operation as quickly as possible. In addition, the site was difficult to access for large work equipment. Maximum pressure cleaning efforts using approx. 1200 bar were required to assure professional installation, which was carried out in a period of one week.

NOT A WALK IN THE PARK

In light of the dimensions and the quantities of resin required for the rehabilitation, as well as the weather conditions, such a project is not exactly a walk in the park. Therefore, a huge thank you goes to all those involved, both actively and in the background, who have contributed to the successful completion of the project.

RTi – SPECIAL EXPERIENCE IN PRESSURE PIPE RECONSTRUCTION

The many years of experience of the RTi team and the numerous projects that have been carried out in the pressure pipe sector make the company an all-round specialist for trenchless pressure pipe rehabilitation.

The processes are regularly used in the dimension range DN 150 – 1200 mm at home and abroad, for example in Italy, Norway, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Austria, Georgia and Mongolia. This makes RTi one of the few suppliers on the pipe rehabilitation market that can carry out projects of these dimensions in the pressure pipe sector.
